Requirements and Procedures
All applicants to Baran Institute of Technology must possess a strong motivation to become Qualified Technicians in their chosen career field and be willing to dedicate themselves to the concentrated program (12 months days or 24 months nights).

An applicant must have at a minimum either a high school diploma or the equivalent (GED), or take a Ability to Benefit test given by an independent agent.

Applicants and their families will meet with an admissions representative in a personal interview. They will be introduced to the Institute's programs and be given a tour of the school. A pre-entrance test will also be administered.

To apply for admission, the applicant fills out the school's application form and enrollment agreement. These are submitted together with a registration fee. A place is reserved for the applicant at this time; however, the agreement is not binding until it has been signed by a school official.

The student's application and test results are then reviewed by the school. After the Institute makes its decision whether to accept or reject the application, the applicant is notified by letter.

When an applicant has had previous training or experience in any of the fields, the Director will evaluate the background of the student. A test will be administered and, if appropriate, the Director will waive that portion of the program for which the applicant has had training or experience.
