In 1971, Austin Business College was formed under the auspices of, and is licensed and regulated by, the Texas Education Agency, now the Texas Workforce Commission, Proprietary Schools Section, 101 East 15th Street, Austin, Texas 78778, in compliance with the Texas Proprietary School Act.

We are accredited to award certificates and Associate of Applied Science Degrees by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools, 750 First Street, NE, Suite 980, Washington, D.C. 20002-4241, (202) 336-6780.

The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board authorizes Austin Business College to grant Associate of Applied Science Degrees in Accounting, Legal Office Management, Medical Office Management, and Office Technology.

Austin Business College is an eligible institution able to receive students enrolling under the U.S. Department of Education Title IV, the Federal Pell Grant, Texas Rehabilitation Commission, Veteran's Administration, Job Training Partnership Act/Workforce Investment Act, and those students enrolling under Social Security benefits.
